Delta Roots Entertainment Group is a purpose-driven cultural enterprise born from reverence and responsibility, created to honor, preserve, and actively uplift the proud, enduring heritage of the Mississippi Delta. This is not merely a business venture. It is a living, breathing commitment to the music, the voices, the stories, and the unbreakable spirit that rose from Delta soil and traveled the world through song, rhythm, and hard-won resilience. Every note, every word, and every initiative is rooted in the understanding that the Delta is not just a place, but a source, a wellspring of cultural truth that continues to shape American music and identity.

Mound Bayou, Mississippi, sacred ground forged by Black vision, self-determination, courage, and collective strength, stands as the spiritual anchor for this mission. From this historic community, built on the audacious belief that Black people could define their own destiny, Delta Roots Entertainment Group draws its moral compass and creative direction. Honoring this place of legacy and purpose, the organization embraces a profound responsibility to the past, an honest and active engagement with the present, and a bold, forward-looking vision for the future. Mound Bayou is a reminder of what is possible when culture, memory, and intention walk together.

At the heart of this enterprise is a deep and abiding respect for the radio stations of the Mississippi Delta, stations that have long served as cultural lifelines, community storytellers, and guardians of Delta art forms. These airwaves have carried joy and sorrow, sacred and secular, blues and gospel, announcements and awakenings. They have held communities together through celebration and crisis alike. Delta Roots Entertainment Group exists, in part, to stand in service to these institutions. working to elevate their visibility, strengthen their reach, and shine meaningful light on their unwavering commitment to Delta music, culture, and community voices. In amplifying these stations, the organization amplifies the people themselves, ensuring that the sounds and stories of the Delta are not only remembered, but respected, sustained, and heard far beyond its borders.

Our Mission

At Delta Roots Entertainment Group, our mission is rooted in reverence and responsibility. We exist to honor the lived experiences, traditions, and creative spirit of the Mississippi Delta,  and of Black America as a whole. Ours is a commitment to pay homage to the way of life shaped by hard soil, deep faith, unbreakable families, and the music, words, and wisdom that rose from it all.

We will work to highlight the legacies and contributions that have shaped our world but are often overlooked by history.  We will shine a light on the radio stations that carried voices across cotton fields and dirt roads, the newspapers that informed and empowered communities, and the everyday people whose quiet strength and brilliance shaped culture, progress, and possibility.

This journey cannot be complete without you. Your voice, your memories, your questions, and your concerns are essential to what we do. We are here to listen, to learn, and to serve, approaching the history and culture of the Delta, and far beyond it, with humility, care, and deep respect. Together, we will preserve the past, honor the present, and help ensure these stories continue to live, breathe, and inspire generations to come.
